It's okay, really.

So, I've been doing a bit of reading on the internet. I know -- things that make you ask why. Anyhow, I was interested in seeing other's views on pornography. I have two words to say: Holy shit.

I am reading things like "My husband won't quit watching porn. I'm getting frustrated and it's hurting our relationship." Uh, no, THAT isn't what's hurting your relationship. Try you are hurting your relationship because you can't get over the fact that he is a man that is looking at something that makes his sexual drive heat up -- and that something that's causing it isn't you. Boo hoo. Ladies, it's not as if he's forming a relationship with these women -- hell, he's not even talking to them! He's looking at something that has peaked man's interest since the beginning of time. It's an image, that's it, and usually a doctored one at that. Would you rather have him just masturbate without looking at porn? Guess what, he's still having images in his head of the same things. Really, people overreact far too much when it comes to these things. He's not cheating on you, he's not touching another woman, he's not even talking to her -- he's looking at a damn doctored image.

This one really got me, though. It has to top the cake. A woman was complaining about her husband watching porn. However, it was transsexual porn. Personally, I don't give a shit what your fetishes are -- everyone has them. However, this woman clearly did. She was asking for suggestions on what to do, she was debating on taking the kids and leaving because of this. Because of a fucking fetish. Everyone has them, his just differed from the norm. By god, we can't have that! But that wasn't the best part. Almost every suggestion read as "You go girl, he's no good, leave him!" That's right, you go leave him. Explain to your children later on why they don't have their birth father around every day. Explain to them the reason you took off from their real father was because he looked at something that you didn't deem appropriate. He didn't kill anyone, he didn't threat anyone, he never was abusive, a drunk, a druggy -- he looked at something. And when your child thinks, wow mom, that's fucking dumb, don't be surprised.
